Wednesday 11am Holy Communion

Our Wednesday Communion service is a spoken Common Worship Communion service, with sermon and prayers of intercession.

Throughout the season of Lent (18th February - 25th March) after the service we will have Lent lunches together. There will be soup and a roll available - stay after the service or join us to eat.

St John's School

As a Church of England church, we are connected to Saint John’s Primary school and have an ongoing relationship with the school.

This includes

Leading collective worship each week
Running FaithFuel, a lunchtime Christian Union
Members of the congregation volunteering to read with the children
School trips to the church as part of the RE curriculum
Hosting events and services
Supporting at school events

Youth

Here at St Luke’s, we want to see young people who are rooted in their identity in Christ and who are flourishing in their faith as they grow as disciples of Jesus.

Sundays

We have youth ministry provision during our 10am service each Sunday. You can find out more here.

2nd Saturday
Each month, those in Y9+ meet for games, discipleship and of course… pizza! This is an opportunity for those who are committed in faith to think through the practical outworking of the life of a disciple in todays world. We always start each session with a creative team challenge!

Socials and trips

We believe that a vital element of youth discipleship comes in forming friendships with one another to encourage each other in faith. One way that this happens is through shared experiences organised by the youth team.

We have a variety of trips and socials running throughout the year.

Most recently we have taken a trip to 270 Climbing on their high ropes course!

The best way to connect in with all that is going on for youth at St Luke's is to come along on a Sunday to our 10am service and meet the team.

Children & Families

We love the youngest members of our church family at St Luke’s, and want to see them grow in knowledge and love of Jesus.

Sundays

We have provision for the youngest members of our church at our 10am service. You can find out more here.

Seedlings

Our toddler group, Seedlings, meets on a Thursday morning, 10:00-11:30am during term time, in church.

All babies and pre-school children and their adults are so welcome to come along for songs, story time and play.

A voluntary donation of £1 can be made but is not expected.

Seedlings will break for 1 week over Easter on the 9th April, and resume on the 16th April 2026.

Growth Groups

We have a two of Growth Groups that meet fortnightly across different members of the church families homes. Growth groups are a great opportunity to study the Bible together, uphold one another in prayer, and share fellowship together. This term our groups are following a discussion series based on our Sermon Series 'This we Believe.'

Our groups meet either on a Wednesday or Thursday evening. If you’re interested in joining a Growth group or finding out more, the best way to do so is to come along on a Sunday and meet the team who can then help you to connect in with a group.
